Google Chrome
bond697:
i use both firefox and opera 9.24, i've never had a problem with speed from opera. they seem just as fast as one another.
if firefox wasn't so totally awesome, i'd be using opera all the time, as opposed to when firefox has trouble loading a page.
Odbarc:
Why did they call it "chrome"?
The main reason I use Firefox is because in classic-windows set up, the scroll bar on the very right can be clicked and dragged when the cursor is right against the edge. If I use IE or the XP-windows set up, I don't have this and I don't want to precision click the stupid scrollbar.
So if Chrome doesn't have this, I won't be using it.
:hmm:

I wouldn't use Crome right now, it has two vulnerabilities that can cause harm to your computer and even lead to a DoS. So I'd stay away from this for now. It's based on a code that's very outdated, so yeah, these things are fixed in IE and FF, and maybe other browsers.. but not crome.

Wow, I didn't even realize this, I've been conditioned to actually aim my cursor at the scrollbar in order to scroll - though I've been using Firefox as my main browser for the past 3 years. Thanks for the info
Dragonsbrethren:
I don't know how long it's been since I actually used the scroll bar, I always middle-click and move the mouse to scroll if I want to go up/down pages at a time--something Chrome doesn't support.
