that was pretty good trick with the 2 ribbons.  i killed the 2 plagues without too much trouble.  then, i walked up to a ribbon chest, expecting to just grab them and go.  the pack of 3 lunarsaurs(lunar dragons?)  placed in each chest was a good thought. i ended up almost dying at the first chest, because just cecil and cain were (partially)alive, but were both cursed.

edit: btw, what does their "breath" attack do?  it's never affected me in all the battles that i've been in against them.

Surprise!  hehe

Oh, and I forgot what that attack did to be honest.

that's pretty interesting.  thanks a lot for the clarification.

also, jce,  i found the sorcerers in the lunar palace at the hp recovery tile. any reason why they just attacked themselves for 9999 instead of fighting me? i take it that that was on purpose?

edit: are there more monster attack tiles around outside of that one? did you replace all of the random findable stuff like that with monsters?

edit2: btw, how is ffiv revolutions coming along?

FF4-R is on hold until I get some things sorted out--like my car project and now my new place to live.  I estimate sometime this summer before things calm down a bit so I can return to my projects.

finally, i beat it.  that haste/slow start worked perfectly.  2 meteos from xlom, rydia casting quake, berserked cecil/cipher, and rosa life 2-ing/berserking.

edit: holy crap, cipher just learned virus?!? this is so damned cool.  :cycle:  :cycle:

Cipher/Edge really needed more magic don't you think?

also, if cain comes back with a dragon spear, why did you give me a second in the giant? granted cecil could equip it, but he already had the falchion and excalibur.  is it for people who don't get those?

Consider it an extra weapon to throw for the final battle for those who don't abuse the item dupe bug.

hey, i just stumbled onto an untranslated name. there's a "searcher"-type enemy in bahamut's cave.  when i encountered it, it's name was still in japanese.  just thought i'd let you know, just in case.

just out of curiosity, what would it's US name be?

I purposely made it Japanese.  Its the "Last Arm" Japanese name--so ask DKK what that translates to.

edit: just found a possible bug.  the genji gauntlet(glove?) chest in bahamut's cave has a problem.  i lost to the pair of sorcerers( i beat one, and before i could deliver the death blow to the second, he hit rosa, then cecil, with nuke). and, even though i lost, i was awarded the genji glove/gauntlet and the game continued.

Don't you love Sorcerers?    Those are my tribute to the FF1 Sorcerers that always kills people trying to get the Masamune.

edit: the gigas glove is stronger than the genji glove? wow, that is a NICE piece of mid-game equipment.

The Gigas Glove was purposely made to be a beast...to an extent.

I made the Paladin's quite ruthless for the time you are there in the game the first time.  :D

Glad you're enjoying the mod.  This is why I did it, to do something a bit different while still being entertaining.

I'm glad you're having fun.     Feel free to create a new topic and talk about your experiences.

XT wasn't designed to kill everyone.  How much fun did you have with the Paladin monster?  Edge learns some really awsome magic--the best is yet to come.

For some reason the patch doesn't like the ROM ometimes.  I still haven't been able to track down why or how the Cipher 0/0 bug happends.  Oh well, glad you're enjoying the patch.  :D

Define "huge chunk" and name your price

As in 80% of it?  I'm looking to unload all the games that aren't sentimental and ones that I do actually play.  Which ends up being a large percentage of games that don't get played (and haven't ever been played on my consoles).

I have to decide what games I'm keeping then I could set a price.  Keep in mind the $$$ is for my automotive projects so I'm not just selling a few things to get $50 here $10 there.  I need a decent amount of money--that's why I need to sell as much as possible.  I don't want to sell 5 games here 10 games there--that'll take way too long and wouldn't be beneficial for me.

So if you are seriously interested tell me what you're looking to get out of it and how much and we can go from there.  How this will work is I'll setup an ebay auction to make it legitimate, you send me a paypal payment for the4 auction+shipping+insurance and I ship it with confirmation and tracking.

Nothing yet.  I haven't even opened a Hex editor in weeks.  My main focus is my car for now, that's the project that's sucking all my time.

I'll make lots of posts for you to read until you get better.

lol  I'm actually saving money to restore my Camaro while I'm driving it.  I'll get the engine done later.  I'm still busy however...I really want a normal schedule so I can resume my projects.
