Pandora's Box / Re: Great stuff
« on: September 15, 2012, 12:02:07 PM »This is a wonderful hack. I'm really impressed with the changes! I've played up until the cave to the sealed gate, but in the first room with the disappearing/reappearing bridges it seems to be impossible to pass through. There's just no bridge to the bottom. I know this is a demo so I'm not sure if this is just as far as the hack has been developed or if there's some way to progress I'm missing.Pretty sure we never touched that room, so the original method to get across should still work.

Is it just me or does he use basic attacks more frequently in his rage state now? There's a 25% chance to just do a basic attack if either of the two Rage moves aren't picked.

I like the auto-offering (or is that just how playing cards work?).That's his cards.

Some general observations:We've been meaning to add a hint that the clock puzzle cannot be solved right now. Even if the correct time is given, you cannot access the ChainSaw until later.
-Couldn't solve the clock puzzle in Zozo which made me feel like a sucker for running around getting all the clues. Thanks for the cheap potions and ethers in Zozo though! I'll take those over a Chainsaw any day.

-The original Whelk battle was weird. I could damage his shell or his head if he wasn't hiding and it didn't seem to matter. No counterattacks or anything. Wasn't sure which part I should be focusing on and the fight lasted a while without much happening. If focusing on the head is not yielding a good result, change your focus!

-I actually thought making me run back to Nikeah to get the parts from Kirk was cool. Maybe if you could get Mog in your party earlier you could bring him along and kill two birds with one stone by collecting his water rondo on the trip. Then Mog would actually get to see a bit more use in the WoB, which would be swell.Added bonus, there's another method to learning the Water Rondo now.

I'll stop there and just say, great job on this! It's one of the most promising hacks I've run across. Being able to play the classics but experience new things makes nostalgic gaming a thousand times better!Glad you enjoyed it, but I'm curious which version of the demo you have, since the current demo dies at the Opera House. Yes, there will be an update, and you will be able to get to the original intended stop point!
