he's posted on the FF3us Gamefaqs board within the past month or two.  just a couple posts.  an "Attn: mblock129" topic would probably get deleted fairly quickly.  he's logged into mnrogar.com as recently as Jun 17, 2009, so try PMing him there.
I did so about 20 minutes ago (as of this post). I'm counting on him seeing it or him reading his email to see that PM notification that the board sends out.

also, the 24-bit HP patch wasn't me.  as mentioned, CKlein0001 made one.  the Pandora's Boxers might be making an improved one.
PB has an improved version of the patch, but I do not know what the plan is with it, or if we even have a plan for it. :isuck:

I suggest someone everyone snag those patches
Way ahead of ya. Also, fixed.

and host them (with the author's permission)
That might be complicated. Is mblock129 even around anymore?

Yeah, we've already lost cklein0001's patches when AOL closed their hosting service... I really liked the 24-bit HP patch too.
I wish I still had that one.

At first I thought your first link was broken, but now I'm convinced that page just looks ugly. The lone screenshot looks interesting, though. Does the tree blow up?

Then why'd you reference FF4A a bunch of times? Quit being  misleading! :banonsmash:

I'd have to think that if young Rydia was meant for the later portions of the game, the port would've added her in. Then again, I wouldn't be surprised if TOSE thought that giving her armor would be nice, only to later discover "holy crap she's not in the game anymore!" You'd think they would know, since they let you choose whoever you wanted once you got to the end.

One hand not communicating with the other hand?

In accordance with recent non-activity, I've added a new smiley to the mix:

I never knew Hero Drinks stacked, and I'm not doing any bugs with the Missing Score. I only have 1 Knights of the Round mastered currently, and I have no intentions of changing that.

Final Fantasy VII (PS)

 Yes, really. Recently I was determined to beat my best "beat the crap out of Ruby" time, and a proof of concept attempt was made. With some minor preparation, I figured I could beat Ruby in five minute (that's incredibly fast, considering the HP and defense it has). My current best posted time is about 20 minutes, which is highly beatable. So with my new team, I made an attempt at Emerald first to see if I would do any better. With an improperly equipped Yuffie (forgot to switch out the Mega All for Double Cut) Emerald started the death animation at the 5 minute mark (just 15 seconds slower than my all-time best).

And then came the litmus test, Ruby Weapon. My damage output was far greater with Cloud, Barret, and Yuffie than it ever was with Cloud, Cid, and Yuffie. And no, I cannot update my current time, because I have nothing to capture this with. I lack a DVD recorder, and no input on the onboard video. So yeah, no actual proof until I get a ton of money. :isuck:

In the old days (actually playing it on the system), at least 30 hours. Now I can do it in under 25.

:bah: I can't find the threads at Gamefaqs. I'm going from memory (and am probably incorrect somewhere), but if I'm right, it goes like this:

Quicksave somewhere, anywhere you want.
Start a new game, play as far as you wish, as far as your quicksave (you cannot save at all in this step)
Die, get a game over. When you resume, one of the files will load with levels reset, HP all wonky (but really high) and the stats saved. This is what allows you to raised all 4 stats to the 128 max.

One person that knows this is Novalia, but he only resides over there. I'd ask him for some clarification.

I don't know about either of those. I don't remember there being any bugs in the US FF6a release.
Other than a lot that still remained, one big new one was Doom Gaze really screwing you out of Bahamut. If you killed Doom Gaze in the Soul Shrine before killing him on the world map, you'll never see Bahamut.

There's another one that's a big exploit in your favor. You can quicksave your stats to crazy levels, effectively making it a New Game+ scenario. I forget the steps involved, but if lucky the topic still exists at Gamefaqs.

I own IV, V and VI Advance but the US release.  Are the Euro versions actually better to PLAY as in the bugs fixed?  I need someone to breakdown (DKK) what is changed/fixed on the Euro releases.
Thanks a lot. :shadow:

Recently I got an itch to play Secret of Mana, for no real reason at all. I figured "hey, good time for a movie!" So, here you go. This is a 10-part series of the whole game. Beware though, once I get flammie then I get really lost. For some reason, I was never able to navigate SoM's map, ever. :isuck: Segment 9 (.zm8) is purely (omg see what I did there?) spell building, and then level building.

Made with Zsnes v1.51.

The four pages never went away, though some concern has been raised about their existence and organization.

Software compression was already enabled, as was hardware compression. This modem is an external, good ol US Robotics v.97. Software compression would not apply here.

Whether or not it actually helps anything (probably won't) remains to be seen.
